New Inspection Regime of Companies Register as maintained by the Hong Kong Companies Registry
Phase 2 of the abovesaid New Inspection Regime comes into force today (24 October 2022).
For Hong Kong incorporated companies,
- usual residential addresses of directors and full identification numbers (“IDN”) of all natural person directors contained in documents filed for registration from today will only show correspondence address and partial IDN of the relevant director; and
- previous version of certain specified forms [such as Annual Return (Form NAR1) and Notice of change of director (Form ND2A)] will no longer be accepted for registration from today – no transitional arrangement.
Please also make sure that correspondence address of every natural person director is recorded in the company’s Register of directors.
If the correspondence address of any natural person director is not at the company’s registered office address (for Hong Kong incorporated companies) or principal place of business (for Registered non-Hong Kong companies), specified form must be filed with the Hong Kong Companies Registry within 15 days or one month respectively after the said commencement date of 24 October 2022.
